After the success of 2011, the second edition of the Festival in Japan
Lisbon intends to re-launch this initiative in the garden of Japan, host to the
great encounter of cultures and symbol of relations between Portugal and Japan.
Visitors will be able to
enjoy Japanese culture, traditionally and pop, through
demonstrations of Ikebana, Shodo (caligrafi), martial arts, Haiku, poetry
Origami, Furoshiki (wrapping technique), Japanese toys, how to dress
Yukata (summer kimono) and Cosplay (pop culture expression).
Japanese music concerts (Japanese drums and shamisen
-Japanese three-string guitar – with an authentic festival atmosphere
Summer in Japan), exhibitions of Bonsai or Japanese food stalls, are
some of the activities that visitors can find.
