Miradouro do Castelo de São Jorge
The Castle offers a privileged view and completes the city. Sliding the eyes along the coast, we pass by the roofs of Martim Moniz the Mouraria.
Contemplation may proceed by Santana, low hill and climb to San Roque, where lurk the ruins of the convent
do Carmo and the Grove of the opposite viewpoint of São Pedro de Alcântara.
Over the rooftops and the narrow and winding streets of Alfama, Sé, the eyes move towards the Tagus River. To the North, we spotted the new areas of the city with broad avenues and buildings of more recent construction.
